Oliver Asuoha

Oliver Chinwendu Asuoha is a graduate of Benue State University, Makurdi in Nigeria with a Bachelor of Art, Second Class Upper Division in Philosophy.

During the compulsory one-year service to his fatherland through the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), a program set up by the Nigerian government to involve Nigerian graduates in nation building and the development of the country, he was a member of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Nigeria, Community Development Service (CDS) Benue Chapter where he was exposed to the need to join forces as much as possible, in the actualization of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) which are global goals adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015 as a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity by 2030.

He has a professional certification (Certificate of Training) in business and project management issued by ICCO Professionals and Nigerian Institute of management (NIM) where he was taught the management of internal business projects undertaken to further a company’s strategy and objectives.

As a leader and an entrepreneur, he has over the years developed skills that would help him be at his best in all ramification of life and they include: Interpersonal skill; research, communication & presentation skills; administration skills; Excellent planning and organization skill; listening skill; adaptability and resilience skill. He has interest in meeting people especially great ones because he is one who is very conscious and intentional about his growth and development and as such, opportunities of that sort afford him the privilege to get to know the strategies, they adopted towards achieving greatness. He is also interested in reading and surfing the internet for avenues to get better in all ramifications.

With regards to his volunteer experience, he has volunteered for the Women Against Abusive Relationships (WAAR) where he worked with the Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) with the vison of breaking the cycle of violence against women and girls and aiding in their healing process.

More so, he has volunteered as a World’s Largest Lesson (WLL) School Activator on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) sponsored by World’s Largest Lesson, UNICEF, AVANT, SDGs, Federal Ministry of Education, DEAN etc., in Nigeria and so far, have six (6) years of volunteering experience and still counting.

These experiences have afforded him the privilege to develop strong project coordination and implementation skills and will be glad to provide evidences to any of the certifications mentioned above if the need arises anytime. He is passionate about contributing to the development of Africa and the globe at large and helping in actualizing some of the goals of the seventeen (17) United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs). This passion of his alongside the aforementioned skills and competencies, certifications, etc. that he possesses, makes him rightly positioned for being a recipient of any great opportunity.
